Premiership Football Predictions: September 15th 2018

After a long international break (well, it seems like it has been a long international break, at least), we are about to get back into the swing of things. By the time you read this, the first match after the international break would have taken place, so those rested legs will have had a bit of a workout. These are match predictions for the second game taking place from the 22nd September.

premierleague predictions tipster

Fulham v Watford

There is no denying that Watford are doing far, far better than anybody predicted they would have done. They are eventually going to need to falter, but we don’t think it will be the Fulham v Watford game where that happens. This is going to be a Watford win. Let’s be honest, if Watford can give some of the biggest teams in the league a run for their money, they are going to destroy Fulham.

Burnley v Bournemouth

A newly promoted team against Burnley. While this is a match which could feasibly go in either direction, we are going to have to say that Burnley have the edge here. They are a better team, plus they have the home advantage going for them.

Crystal Palace v Newcastle

Crystal Palace have had some terrible seasons since they have been in the Premier League, but they always seem to save themselves at the final hurdle. This is why we were surprised that they were doing so much better this season. We are not sure how long it is going to last, but since they are a better team than Newcastle, we don’t think that their downfall is going to start at this point.

Cardiff v Manchester City

This probably is not even a game that is worth talking about. We all know that Manchester City are going to walk away the winners when they take a trip to Wales on the 22nd September. You would be hard-pushed to even make an argument that Cardiff stand a chance. That being said, stranger things have happened.

Leicester v Huddersfield

We are now back to the games which are going to be a bit tougher to predict. Huddersfield are not the greatest team in the world. They barely escaped relegation last season, but on their day, they can give any mid-table team a run for their money, and despite Leicester winning the Premier League a couple of seasons back, it is safe to say that they are a mid-table team. This one we are going to be putting down as a draw. Honestly, not one we would bet on because even the smallest change in the match could completely shake it up, but if we did bet, this one would be a draw in our books.

Liverpool v Southampton

Honestly, we are going to be putting down Liverpool as being in with a shout of winning the Premier League this season, as long as Manchester City do not falter. We genuinely do not think that Southampton is going to be that much of a challenge for them here. This is going to be a 2-0 or 3-0 win. We don’t even think that Southampton is going to be able to put a ball past them.

Manchester United v Wolves

Manchester United have not had the greatest start to the season, and we don’t think they will have a manager come Christmas-time. However, this is going to be a clear win for them. If they do not win, then they have far deeper problems than we ever thought that they did.

Brighton v Spurs

Brighton managed a convincing win over Manchester United not too long ago, so Tottenham are going to be heading to the Amex with a bit of fear in their eyes. Brighton know how to defend well too. This is a match which could quite easily end up as a draw or a win to Brighton. In fact, lump a couple of quid on a Brighton win and you may actually make some cash.

West Ham v Chelsea

This one is going to be a Chelsea win. We don’t really see that going any other way.

Arsenal v Everton

Arsenal have to win this one. They need to get their season back on track. Sure, Everton are going to be formidable opponents, but Arsenal are itching for a win here, and we think they may get it. Will be a close game. Maybe 2-1 at best.
